TAO’s Phantom Gel was developed with the assistance of Mark Riddinghton, a double above-the-knee amputee alongside fellow amputee Ben Lovell from AmpCamp. In October 2021 Mark & Ben asked TAO to develop a product to relieve the following symptoms that were severely impacting their lives.
- Phantom Pain
- Chronic pain
- Inflammation at the stump site
- Pressure sores/blisters
- Bacterial infections in the summer months.
The formula also had to sink in without leaving a greasy residue on the user’s skin. TAO spent 8 months working with Mark & Ben to develop Phantom Gel.

Dosage: Use 1 squirt of Phantom Gel twice per day on each amputation site. Allow 5 minutes to sink in before fitting prosthetics.
